Southampton Hospital Charity aims to enhance the world class facilities provided at Southampton General Hospital and Princess Anne maternity Hospital by University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS).
UHS provides services to some 1.9 million people living in Southampton and South Hampshire plus specialist services including neurosciences, cardiac services and children's intensive care to more than 3.7 million people in central southern England and the Channel Islands.
Every year more than 11,000 Trust staff see 500,000 people at outpatient appointments, deal with 120,000 attendances at the emergency department and treat 140,000 admitted emergency, inpatient or day case patients. In addition, the Trust delivers more than 100 outpatient clinics across the South of England to keep services local for patients.
Providing these services costs £1.6 million per day.
Donations allow the hospital to buy equipment, fund research and provide better facilities that would otherwise be unaffordable under the NHS. With your help, the charity funds projects large and small across all wards and departments to improve patient care.
Southampton Hospital Charity has over 300 funds raising money for wards and departments close to your heart.
We are the NHS at its best, and your support can make a real difference.
