Blythe House Hospice provides care and support for those in the High Peak community affected by cancer, life-limiting illness or bereavement.
As the High Peak's only hospice Blythe House offers a wide range of services; such as the award winning Living Well Service which is based on a survivorship model of care, an Information and Support Centre which is open to everyone in the High Peak, and a Hospice at Home Service which provides care and support for people at the end of their life who wish to stay at home.
Over two thirds of the patients who attend Blythe House services go on to enjoy improved health, whilst others are supported with end-of-life care. Currently over 90% of hospice care in the UK is provided through day care and at home services, such as those at Blythe House.
It costs £926,000 every year to keep Blythe House services running, that's £2,500 per day. Thanks to the remarkable generosity of our community, the care and support Blythe House provides remains completely free of charge.
