Friends of the Animals was founded in the Midlands in 1990 with a mission to help reduce the number of unwanted dogs and cats in the area by launching an innovative spay and neuter program which offered financial assistance to those unable to afford the procedure, to date we have spayed/neutered in excess of 45,000 animals.
We offer assistance to all creatures great and small including dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, farm animals, small furry’s, wildlife and birds.
We have three charity shops on the Isle of Wight and one in Portsmouth and we keep our admin costs to an absolute minimum with the help of our amazing and loyal volunteers.
In addition to our spay/neuter program we assist in re-homing and utilise a network of cost effective foster homes alongside our adoption register.
We contribute towards the cost of veterinary treatment so that those on low incomes are able to care for their furry/feathered Companions. As well as running a pet food bank.
