SeeAbility is a national charity that prides itself in providing specialist personalised support to enable people with sight loss and multiple disabilities in the UK lead more rewarding and enriched lives.
We provide a range of services including direct support, residential and supported living accommodation and activity centres. Our uniqueness lies in having a highly trained staff team able to work with people who have a combination of visual, cognitive and physical disabilities.
Local authority funding only provides a basic level of care and support to people with sight loss and multiple disabilities but we fundamentally believe that in order for people to lead more rewarding and enriched lives they should be given the chance to learn to do more for themselves. We believe it is every disabled person’s right to have access to Specialist Services.
Our Specialist Services such as physiotherapy, rehabilitation, speech and language therapy and our pioneering work with people with learning disabilities are all funded through voluntary income.
