Vision West of England exists to reduce the impact of sight loss. We believe that blind and partially sighted people have the right to independence, equality and access to the services needed.
We deliver local services for visually impaired people across Bristol, Bath and South Gloucestershire, and in Wiltshire under the banner of Wiltshire Sight.
We receive no statutory funding but with your support we can put the needs and aspirations of blind and partially sighted people first and help create a world in which people living with sight loss can access the services they need within their own communities, in a way that best suits their needs and aspirations.
We provide person-centred individualised support to improve the quality of life of blind and partially sighted people, and increase their independence, thorough a range of activities including:
- Information, advice, guidance & support
- Peer support
- Demonstration of resources and technology
- Family support
- Social activities, clubs and sports
- Supporting self-advocacy
- Training, raising awareness and understanding
- Developing good practice
