It is our aim to make sure that our hospital and our clinicians can provide a world-class service for our patients and their families that goes beyond even the NHS promise of care.
We are not a big charity, yet we are working really hard to try to grow our profile and the difference that local donations make. Did you watch BBC Hospital Episode 1 recently? You will see the struggles that we are facing following on from the Carillion collapse. The great news is that building work has re started and we are all excited to see the light at the end of the tunnel, however we are in desperate need of financial support to ensure that we can purchase much needed and desired equipment to help treat and save the lives of our patients!
We want to contribute to the improvement of services and treatment, in particular Cancer services and treatment to and for those who need it. We are a major centre for diagnosing, treating and the research of cancer, treating over 20 different types of cancer. We offer full cancer services from early diagnosis, through to treatment and support services. Our Trust runs these services from several centres across our sites, and we also offer specialist cancer treatment centres such as the revolutionary Linda McCartney Centre, the Cancer Wellbeing Centre. We want to contribute to the enhancement of these services to help save and improve the lives of the millions of people affected by cancer.
Thousands of people living with Merseyside and the North West may need the care and support of the Royal Liverpool Hospital in the future. Our endeavour to raise funds is to help them.
Ultimately we work really hard here at R Charity to try to save and improve more lives and this journey will certainly bring some varied and new opportunities, projects and goals for your donations to directly support and help make a reality; and for this we are extremely grateful. A great big Good Luck to those taking part in our Lottery.
