The aim of Cancer United is to support the NHS by offering an integrated support service for cancer patients. As a cancer support charity, we offer integrated support to a diverse range of cancer patients to find themselves again after diagnosis, treatment and into recovery. The charity is not cancer specific rather catering for all cancers. The services that Cancer United offers are open to everyone, indeed all those whose lives have been affected by cancer- patients, family, friends and carers whatever race, creed or religious denomination from all walks of life.
We facilitate peer to peer support where patients can share their cancer experience. We provide access to a unique programme of cancer specific exercise via our CU Fitter gym where we help and support to enable cancer patients to move forward with their lives. Cancer United encourages positivity, motivation, determination and offers the opportunity for its beneficiaries to interact with peers whilst learning how to keep well, eat healthily and take exercise.
Cancer United's vision is to improve the lives of every cancer patient in the UK from diagnosis onwards via access to our integrated approach to support focussed on active recovery of both body and mind. To inspire cancer survivors to embrace the things they can do and to refuse to be defined by what they can't.
