Thorpe Hall Hospice
Sue Ryder Care provides expert and compassionate care and support for people living with serious illnesses and conditions, as well as their families and loved ones.
Sue Ryder Care - Thorpe Hall Hospice, in Peterborough, is one of six Sue Ryder Care hospices and eight neurological care centres. Our 20 bed hospice provides specialist care for patients, mostly with advanced cancer. We provide palliative care for over 500 patients per year and aim to help people to achieve the best quality of life during each stage of their illness.
We also run a thriving Day Centre for people who have suffered stroke or have progressive neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease and Parkinson's disease.
Our approach considers every aspect of an individual's wellbeing by listening to and supporting their choices. We put back dignity, independence and confidence that serious illnesses can take away, enriching people's lives and those of their families.
Sue Ryder Care also provide care in people's homes and in the community. Internationally, we support work in 12 other European countries and southern Africa providing healthcare provision where it is desperately needed.
