Hospices are about "life" and we aim to make that life as comfortable, pain free and dignified as possible from the moment that your mother, father, brother, sister, child or friend is told they have a life limiting illness.
Hospices also provide much needed respite for family and carers by giving them that often much needed few days break to restore their energy.
The Butterfly Hospice Trust was formed by a small group of people concerned that there was no accessible in-patient hospice for those living in south/east Lincolnshire. Travelling daily to Lincoln or Grimsby to see a loved one is not an option for many south Lincolnshire people.
Building of the hospice is now underway and it is anticipated that services for local families and those living alone with life limiting illness will be in place by summer 2010.
Work to raise funds to start and then sustain an in-patient service for local people continues and this is why we are asking you to join our lottery.
