Hospices are about "life" and we aim to make that life as comfortable, pain free and dignified as possible from the moment that your mother, father, brother, sister, child or friend is told they have a life limiting illness.
Hospices also provide much needed respite for family and carers by giving them that often much needed few days break to restore their energy.
The Butterfly Hospice Trust was formed by a small group of people concerned that there was no accessible in-patient hospice for those living in south/east Lincolnshire. Travelling daily to Lincoln or Grimsby to see a loved one is not an option for many south Lincolnshire people.
The Butterfly Hospice was opened by HRH the Princess Royal on 11th April 2011 and has been furnished and equipped - thanks to the support and generosity of local communities and businesses throughout the south east Lincolnshire area.
We are now developing the infrastructure, funding and services which will enable the Trust to fulfil its objectives of providing in-patient beds for patients with life limiting illnesses.
