SHIRETRUST was formed by suppoters of East Stirlingshire FC to help safeguard the club from outside influences who wanted to see the club asset stripped and ultimately to die for profit. The Trust now actively has a major role to play in that it supports a new management of the football club which has aspirations to grow and regain its previous high status within the local community. The Trust also raises money for youth and community projects and in the past has also supported other local charities such as Strathcarron Hospice to name but one.
SHIRETRUST has a growing membership and has Sir Alex Ferguson the Manchester United manager and Jeff Stelling from Sky Sports as honorary members. SHIRETRUST has a very high standing within the supporting trusts world due to its dedication and hard work in the face of adversity. Even people who have no interest in football are drawn to the TRUST because of its willingness not to give in.
