The object of the Friends shall be to relieve and assist patients of the hospital in the community and generally to support the charitable work of St Mary's Hospital. We raise money to purchase items that will save lives or will make the patient's life easier.
We raise funds and receive contributions from many persons or organisations by way of subscriptions or otherwise. We supplement the service provided by St Mary's Hospital for the health and welfare and comfort of the patients by the provision of facilities, buildings and equipment which may be required for the treatments of patients.
We run a cafeteria and shop in the foyer of St Mary's Hospital and distribute papers and confectionery and other items.
