  • If my charity gets 50p per ticket what happens to the other 50p?
The 50p is split into two parts, approximately 27p goes towards the prize fund, and the 23p remaining goes to pay for the administration behind Unity.
  • Is there a minimum amount of players I have to sign up?
There is no minimum amount of people you have to have signed up at any one time.
  • Is there a maximum amount of players that I can sign up?
There is no maximum we will encourage you to sign up as many players as possible.
  • Who is behind Unity?
Unity was created in 2007 by Sterling Management Centre, a lottery services provider based in Cumbria.
  • How will the winners find out if they have won?
The winners will be notified automatically and directly once the draw has been run.  The winning numbers will also be available on the Unity winner’s hotline, and the Unity website.
  • What are the odds of our players winning a prize?
The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 63. 
  • Can I monitor where the new members are coming from?
Yes you can, any leaflets or application forms can be tagged with a canvasser code which can be related to either a place, particular mailing, sales person or other activity.
  • What tasks do I need to carry out each week?

All you have to do is concentrate on promoting and selling the lottery. We take care of all the routine administration.

  • Are there any agencies that can help me with my promotion?

We have a very good relationship with a number of companies who provide a variety of different fundraising services that we can introduce you to.

  • What kind of support do we get once we have signed up?

We are on hand to offer advice and guidance when promoting your lottery.

Legal

  • Do I have to fill any forms in once I have registered?
Lottery returns have to be submitted to the Local Authority or Gambling Commission within 3 months of each draw being run.  We provide you with details for your lottery on a monthly basis to allow you to complete these forms.
  • Who owns the members data?

All the data gathered from your members belongs to you and you can request access at anytime.
