Who runs Unity Lottery ?
Unity has been developed by Sterling Management Centre. Sterling have 25 years experience in administering charity fundraising lotteries, with over 90 clients across the UK.
Unity Lottery was developed as Sterling realised there was a need for a joint scheme offering charities and other organisations a risk free way to fundraise. For more information about Sterling please visit http://www.sterlinglotteries.co.uk/
Where does the £1 entry into our lottery go?
From each £1 entry 50p comes back to you as profit. You will be sent a profit cheque each month.
The remaining 50p is split between administration costs, prize fund provision and VAT. Approximately 20p goes towards administration costs, and approx. 30p goes towards the provision of prizes.
What are the costs involved ?
Marketing & Promotional Costs - you will need to recruit your supporters to join your unity lottery. We provide a promotional starter pack containing 250 player leaflets and five posters for £50 + VAT. You can have further leaflets printed at a favourable rate.
We can provide you with a copy of the promotional leaflet on pdf and you can take it along to your own print company if you wish.
Administration Costs and Prize Fund Provision - 50p from each £1 entry into your goes towards admin and prize fund provision.
How do we promote the lottery and recruit players ?
You will be provided with marketing advice either on CD or via email when you join Unity Lottery. The main promotional tool will be the player leaflet which will be overprinted with your details, A sample can be downloaded from the "Promoting your Lottery" page on this site.
You will also receive a free page on this website with a downloadable form which allows your supporters to join the lottery. You can include your logo, images and as much text as you like. You can also have a link to this page from your own website and we can provide you with a pdf player application form for you to upload onto your own website.
We are happy to provide you with a copy of the player recruitment form, Unity logo and branding guidelines for you to include in your newsletter.
What are the odds of our players winning a prize ?
Players have a 1 in 63 chance of winning a prize in Unity Lottery. All players have an equal chance of winning no matter which organisation they are supporting however large or small.
